ICS-HD Bearing Assembly Exchange Program

How the ICS “core-exchange” program works:

1. Contact our Surrey office with information on the size and make of your bearing assembly
2. A member of our sales team will check our updated inventory list and provide you with estimated delivery dates on both a new replacement unit and a remanufactured unit. You select which you want.
3. An order for 75 per cent of the “new bearing cartridge price” will be placed and the service exchange bearing housing will be dispatched at once. This 75 per cent is the maximum amount you will be charged.
4. When your order is placed, we will provide you with shipping instructions on how to send us your damaged unit.
5. When your damaged unit arrives at ICS, we will perform an extensive analysis of the unit and supply you with a written repair cost within 7 days. If the unit only requires basic repairs - see list under service exchange repairs below - your account will be credited, thus reducing your bill to approximately 50 per cent of the “new bearing cartridge price”.
6. You repaired cartridge will be placed in our warehouse of re-manufactured units and reserved for your company's use, ready for your next emergency call.

Automatic Bearing Seal Upgrade

If you are sending us a competitor’s bearing cartridge with a “-10” labyrinth seals - the old style with piston rings and lip seals - we will provide you with a cartridge containing the upgraded ICS-Keto bearing seal design. Even with this upgrade, you will not pay more than 80% of the new bearing cartridge price. Plus we guarantee the improved performance of the ICS-HD design and will support it with our expert service.

Better Design means Less Maintenance

ICS does not require that you need 8 to 16 shots of grease EVERY DAY as recommended by the OEM on their labyrinth seal. We require greasing after 2000 hours of operation or approximately every three months on continuous duty. Please note that approximately 95% of the grease passes directly through the lip seal and out of the pump. Not only are costs high, but the environmental issues that are arise can be severe.

ICS service includes a written report on the current condition of your parts and descriptions of any new replacement parts which are required. In addition, the ICS seal ensures double protection against contaminated lubricant and there are no piston rings and lip seals to replace. The non-contacting labyrinth seals means no wear and no corrosion. (By contrast, the old OEM design is subject to corrosion from gland leakage and wear from rubbing piston rings, which forces metal filings into lubricant.)

ICS bearing barrels have grease nipples and grease relief in each end cover to protect against overpressure. Our seals can operate under both oil and grease, resulting in an easy conversion for those preferring to use an oil lubrication. Our 316SS end covers promote longer wear life.

You can also ask ICS for a list of all parts associated with your replacement bearing assembly and a price list for future parts and servicing. You also have the option of having ICS pre-pay shipping and back-charges as part of your invoice.

*You are only charged for the ceramic wear product, not the application.
